Quake III Now Runs On Symbian S60 3rd Edition. It’s a good news for gamer. But it only runs on Nokia N82, Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia E90.
Apparently Samsung Innov8 does have 3d hardware acceleration, but it does not have FPU or it’s not enabled, go figure. Anyway, compiled a version of Quake3 without fpu options which seems to cure the issue on Samsung phones. As a side effect it might be possible that the game can actually run on some other devices with software OpenGL provided that the device has enough RAM. Be warned though, without proper hardware acceleration, the game will be ultra slow…
