Alltel has officially announced the new Samsung Gem Android phone. The phone is a mid-end candybar samrtphone, running Android 2.1. And the Samsung Gem is now free after a $50 mail in rebate and a two year service agreement at Alltel Wireless.

And the Alltel Samsung Gem Android phone specifications:

* a 800MHz processor
* a 3.2-inch touchscreen display
* a 3.2 megapixel camera (complete with a Superman-logoish bezel)
* Wi-Fi (with hotspot capabilities)
* Bluetooth
* GPS
* micro-SD card slot (support for up to a 16GB card)
* 124MB of on-board memory

And the iPad comes with a 9.7-inch (diagonal) LED-backlit glossy widescreen Multi-Touch display with IPS technology, Wi-Fi (or 3G), Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR technology, 3.5-mm stereo headphone jack, Accelerometer, built-in 25 Whr rechargeable lithium-polymer battery. Meanwhile, you have three options: 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB flash drive. But it haven’t camera and doesn’t support flash. Whatever,it’s cool!
