China Unicom launch 7 WoPhone-series Linux Phones yesterday. They all runs WoPhone platform. Below is the Tianyu U2 linux phone pictures. The UI looks like Android OS, right? The phone is running on Linux 2.6.29-perf, and powered by a QCT MSM7X27 SURF 600MHz processor with 512MB ROM and 512MB RAM. The U2 is also equipped with a 5.0MP camera and MicroSD slot support. The phone features Wo-market. But it doesn’t support flash. Obviously there’s a way to go, but I think there’s been a vast improvement.

China Unicom and Apple jointly announced that they have already co-operation in the next few years, sales of iPhone handsets in China to reach an agreement on August 28. And the iPhone will be available on Q4 this year. And the main specifications of China Unicom iPhone includes:

Shanghai, China Unicom Corporation (“Shanghai Unicom”) will launch iPhone 3G cell phone at “5.17″ Telecommunications Day, said by a person from Shanghai Unicom. However China Unicom and iPhone didn’t sign the final agreement, so there’re no more specific details.
