New Nokia 7310 Supernova – Best New Cell Phones

The Nokia 7310 Supernova a few weeks ago when Nokia accidentally leaked the complete specifications for the device.

One key feature with the 7310 is the exchangeable covers. Supplied as standard is a “Steel Blue” Xpress-on cover plus either “Wasabi Green” or “Candy Pink”. Some of the other colour combinations available (depending on region) are “Espresso Brown”, “Plum Jam”, “Mushroom Silver”, “Yellow Mellow” and “Electric Blue”. You can also change the colour schemes in software, so there’s quite a bit of scope for personalising your 7310.

It’s not a very expensive phone, at €155 (or £120 / $240) before tax and any carrier discount.. so it should appeal to prepay customers as well as those on contract. We understand that the Nokia 7310 Supernova is already available in certain markets, and it should have a more widespread release in the next couple of weeks.

New Nokia 7210 Supernova – Best New Cell Phones

The Nokia 7210 Supernova costs around €120 (£100 / $200) before tax and carrier subsidy. For this, you get a 240 x 320 pixel display in 262,000 colours, a 2 megapixel camera, microSD expandable memory, stereo Bluetooth, an F.M. radio, and a multimedia player.

It is very similar in specification to the 7310, but the Nokia 7210 Supernova doesn’t have interchangeable covers and the display isn’t quite as colourful. There are a few other features where the 7210 doesn’t quite measure up, but we suspect that most people will find the devices pretty closely matched.

Nokia say that the 7210 should be available during Q3 2008 in “Bubble Gum Pink” and “Vivid Blue” colour schemes.

Best New Cell Phones - Nokia 7610 SuperNova

We all know “7610″ is just recycled material for Nokia, since they already have an old model smartphone with the same number designation. But if you’ve ever seen a few photos of the new 7610, you’ll find Nokia’s reusing their old product names just a bit more forgiveable.
The new model, called the Nokia 7610 SuperNova, will come in a shiny slider form factor, with much more powerful features than the old 7610. It ditches the smartphone-y S60 UI for Nokia’s swifty S40, which kind of makes it work like a phone, first and foremost, and second as a multimedia machine.
